FAQ
1. With electric bikes, do we need to have driving licence?
Up to now, we don’t need to have driving licence.
2. How far my Electric Bike can go?
We would like to use the formula: 30/70, which means your electric bike can go 30 km/h for 70 kilometers, but that is under the normal conditions: 150 kg weight rider, flat riding terrain, no light turned on.
3. How long does it take to charge my battery?
Depending on the degree of discharge, it will take up to 8 hours to charge the standard battery.
4. Can my battery be overcharged by leaving them plugged into the charger too long?
No. The charger in Emoto is a smart charger. It will shut itself off when full charged, but it is always a good idea NOT to leave your battery plugged all the time. It’s better to unplug the charger when the charger light turns on green.
5. Do I have to drain my battery completely before I recharge it?
No. The battery powers the electric bikes that we sell can be plugged in and recharged no matter the current battery level is.
6. My battery can charge in how many time?
Emoto battery is built with sealed lead acid battery (SLA), which can be charged and discharged up to about 350 times. But you must do some things in order to get the maximum life out of your SLA battery: ALWAYS charge your battery up IMMEDIATELY after EVERY use! So plug your battery pack into the smart charger immediately after every use. Also, try not to run your batteries completely dead, for this will diminish battery life cycle.
7. Where do I get replacement battery? I'm looking for a part, where can I buy it?
Replacement battery can be purchased through Emoto showroom, our agencies or you can buy them in your local area at many retail shops which sell Emoto.
8. Can I use other battery with my Emoto?
Yes, as long as the battery you are using output 48V – 24A. However, you will have to figure out how to put your custom made battery into your Emoto frame. Our standard battery has 4 cells with dimensions per cell: 17cm (H) x 8cm (W) x 18cm (L).
9. Do you have 800W motor models?
Not yet. You would not need an 800W motor for an electric bike in our city. All of our Emotos has the rate power of 350 – 500W. That's the power needed for an average rider on a crowded roads. A motor with rated power of 800W will surely give the electric bike stronger, but will also cut the range and battery life significantly.
